Minutes General Meeting Aug 02, 2007

Cdr Jim Ross opened meeting with 8 officers and 5 members present at 7:06pm.

Adjutant Ric Smith read in 5 new members – approved.

Correspondence ­ none.

Information on Legion Institute & S/A Veterans benefits office presentations – work in progress.

2^nd Vice Bob Schroeter reported on house committee first meeting. Items reviewed: Canteen Mgr request for internal surveillance camera – not approved. Additional lighting outside – under review. Hours of Canteen – hours reviewed. Team approach for cooks reviewed.

Finance report by Past Cdr Jack Blessing approved. Three big bills were paid: Liability & Building Insurance, food bills, and Beverage tax bill. Pull tabs – new and working OK. Service Officer school paid for Maury Lazenby by membership funds.  Bob Schroeter – motion & approved financial report.

Jim Ross, CDR, reported on new appointments: Ray Wiltse to E-Board, Dick Salzarulo HC chairman, Dave Jordan and Jim Wadley for House Committee.

Master calendar posting for Legion, SAL & Auxiliary activities. Entertainment schedule also included in master scheduling.

New speaker equipment & background radio music to be installed – all equipment donations in hand.

Website review TBA. Committee Mike and Karen Dubin.

Web e-mail directory in process of being established for all electronic members.

Building fund goal for 2007-2008 is $20K.

Membership is on target for goal of 400+ members.

Cooking teams, work in progress.

Replacement roofing project – all donated, will begin around Thanksgiving. Staging to be stored behind outside fences.
