GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

04AUGUST2011

Meeting was called to order at 1901 hours by Commander Robby Bacom.

Opening invocation by Chaplain Bob Nagel.

A quorum was present with 13 members present.

Adjutant Patty O'Callahan reported that the minutes were not rendered to her from the previous Adjutant, Clen Ward.

Adjutant read the minutes from the Executive Committee meeting of 03August2011, motion to accept minutes as read by Roy Havekost, seconded by Don Mills, motion passed.

Brooke Hammonds of the Boy Scouts presented Post 233 with a plaque for our support of their troop.

Commander's Report:

Congratulations to all new officers and looking forward to a prosperous new year. Nomination to 2"d Vice Commander, Ed DellaPenna, no other nominations, nomination motion made by Don Mills, seconded by Rod Garing, nomination accepted. Vote was taken, unanimously, Ed DellaPenna is 2'd Vice.

Adjutant Report:

371 regular members, 16 PUFL, 378 total. 232 renewals, motion to accept report made by Roy Havekost, seconded by Dan Wortmann.

1st Vice Report: June & July reports read and are attached to minutes. Motion to accept reports by Wilbur Burnett, seconded by Stu Lilly, reports accepted.

3rd Vice Report: Need Thursday lunch cook, most cooking spots are full, motion to accept report by Dan Wortmann, seconded by Stu Lilly, report accepted.

4th Vice Report: Absent, due to illness.

House Committee report made by Don Mills, motion to accept report made by Roy Havekost, seconded by Wilbur Burnett.

Financial Report made by Malcolm Marvin, motion to accept report made by Don Mills, seconded by Stu Lilly, report accepted.

Adjutant made a motion that the Post would always pay for Michael Grady's Membership, new member & wounded warrior, motion seconded by Stu Lilly, motion passed.

Chaplain discussed his dislike of the disrespectful use of God in the Post. Jason Bass & Rick Kapeghian on the sick list and in our prayers. Big Tom Dawson passed away, service will be at 11:00 on Saturday at Post 129.

Old business:

Nothing to discuss without last month's minutes.

New business:

Don Schoup donated golf clubs to us to use at a raffle. Wet Burritos by Jason coming soon.

Chaplain gave closing prayer.
