General meeting for Dec 06, 2007.

9 officers and 11 members present.

Meeting minutes from Nov 01 were read and approved.

Bill Reno, 5th District Chaplain, reported on the upcoming State Commander visit associated with Pearl Harbor weekend activities. As there are now 16 posts in District 5, visits will be limited to the Jacksonville area.

Jim Ross reported for the 1st Vice on the early bird dinner planning.

Chuck Kees reported for the 2nd Vice on meal scheduling.

Jim Ross read in the financial report.

Dick Salzarulo reported on updating house committee details regarding rules, payroll, employees, etc.

Jim Durnal reported on building remodeling and OK for final inspection.

Bill Furr reported on fly problem in kitchen, health issue caused by poor cleaning.

Jim Ross reported on building repair donations, Tom Manuel and cell tower work in progress.

Bob Nagel requested congeniality should be an accomplishment and positive reflection of member activities.

Roy Havekost reported on the dedication of the Veterans Park off Racetrack Rd with members of all services and color guard on hand.

Jim Ross read a thank you letter from Alden Road Exceptional Student Center for food donated by SAL. A letter was also read regarding the Memorial program for Mike Callahan.

A letter also received from Father Duffy regarding the book signing program. Father Duffy was a U.S. Army Colonel on the Bataan Death March.

Ray Williams suggested building fund pledges be considered on a $10.00 a month program.
