General Membership Minutes, February 7, 2013

§  Commander Havekost called the meeting to order at 7:10pm.

§  Ceremonial opening by Cmdr. Havekost, prayer by Asst. Chaplain Garing.

§  Roll call of thirteen members present.

§  Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.

§  Applications/transfers Thomas E. McHenry, John Allegro new members, Keith Mullis and Christian Wollny, Post 400 transfers. All paperwork in order, motion to accept all four applicants, seconded and passed.

§  Commanders report attached.

§  Finance report attached.

§  1^st Vice Mark Dorsey reported he is working on membership we are at 103.979% and are at 392 members. He read Department letter of congratulations for attaining 100%. Read letter announcing this years convention on June 6-9, 2013 in Orlando.

§  3^rd Vice Stu Lilly’s requests more people to step forward and volunteer at our functions.

§  4^th Vice Charlie Walker reported that all the smoke filters have been changed and that he would like to thank Tex Ward for helping him with the replacement filters.

§  Historian Rod Garing reported that the books of Post history he has compiled date back to 2003 and continue to be a work in progress.

§  House Cmte. report. The executive session of the committee ruled on the damage incident report that was filed for the front Post wall. Sandra and Buddy Griszzard have both been barred from the Post until the repair costs of $100.00 can be paid to the Post. Both have also been barred from applying for membership until the bill is paid.

§  Newsletter report, Commander thanked those who submitted notes/comments for the newsletter.

§  Website report, Cmdr. Havekost, report attached.
