General meeting Jan 03, 2008

5 officers,  4 E-board members and 2 members were present.

The minutes from the Dec 06, 2007 meeting were read and approved.

The adjutant reported membership at 94% with 21 more renewals to make this years quota of 366. Four new members were read and approved. The application for Dennis Young was rejected for a bad check submitted with the application.

1^st Vice not present.

2^nd Vice reported cooking teams booked thru March 2008.

Finance report read in summary by Steve Hutchinson. December numbers read revenue 16K, expenses 15+K with a net balance of $612.00.

Chaplain reported no members in sick bay. Rick Kapeghian was noted as volunteer of the month.

House committee Dick S. reported on the meal pricing changes and Valentine dinner on Feb 13, 2008.

Jim Ross reported $6900.00 has been received to date for building repairs. A letter as read from Monique Burr Foundation for a $1500.00 donation in honor of Bob Duval as a celebrity player in the Foundation Pro-Am Tournament.

A letter was received from Hal Brickell regarding legion baseball sponsorship. The cost was estimated at $3500.00. Discussion was made and approved to consider support.

The American Legion Institute program, presented thru District, did not generate any interest.
