and called to order by Commander

Their was a quorum present.

meeting was read and approved.

Post 400.

that we had exceeded our 50%
membership goal mandated by
Department for Sept.5th and
currently stands at 53.827% and
that we have already exceeded
our goal for Oct 2008.
Roy Havekost gave a Web Site
report, a detailed copy of the
report is available on line and
an official copy of the report
is
attached and made a part of
these minutes.
Our Historian reported that the
archiving of our records is
ongoing and a evolving project.
More to come latter on this from
Rod.
Maury Lazenby has volunteered to
be our service officer.
Ric Smith reported that the
marker for the father of our
past commander Jim Ross was
approved at the May general
meeting.
Ric also gave a report on our
By-Laws.
The post is operating without
any post By-Laws and could be in
danger of losing our charter. A
draft on proposed By-Laws were
submitted twice to Department
for approval and were rejected
both times because of conflicts
with and violations with the
department of Florida
constitution and the rules
governing trials.
Ric made a commitment to take on
the job of drafting new By-Laws
for the post with the general
membership having final
authority on approval.
Steve Hutchinson told us that
the finance report would be
completed by Monday 9-8-2008. He
also reported that our lounge
and food sales has shown an
improvement for the month of
August.
Patty O'Callahan reported on the
house committee meeting.
She gave us a review of the
events planned for September and
told us the committee is working
on a revised incident report
form. More to follow on this.
As their was no other business
to bring before the general
membership our Chaplain
Bob Nagel closed our meeting
with a prayer.
Commander Don Mills adjourned
the meeting at 7:50P.M.
Ray Williams, Adjutant.
