Meeting was called to order at 19:00 hrs by CDR Steve Willis.

Patty O’Callahan, acted as the Adjutant Pro-Tem for Clen Ward, Adjutant.

Prayer was offered by Chaplain Bob Nagel.

A quorum was present with 10 members present.

Doug Davison gave a demonstration & discussion on ‘Bonus Bingo’ Touch Screen Units. There will no cost to the Post; they will provide 3-4 Units; patron gives bartender money & she prints out a code; winnings are split w/patron & Post.

ADJUTANT’S REPORT: There were no minutes to be read as Jim Ross did not provide the JUNE Meeting Minutes and there was no JULY Meeting due to Installation of Officers.

FINANCE OFFICER’s REPORT: No report.

1st VICE CDR:  See attached.

2nd VICE CDR:  No Report, on vacation.

3^rd VICE CDR: Reitterated the 1^st Vice CDR’s comments about needing to recruit more members & setting goals. Also reported that he is researching the Blue Banners.

4^th VICE CDR: Reported that the Kitchen has been thoroughly cleaned and that the new oven/stove has been installed and cooking nicely. Cooks are still needed in all areas, especially, Sundays, right now.

HOUSE COMMITTEE REPORT: 

·         Condolences card needs to be made for Jim Ross due to the loss of his Mother.

·         Ice machine has been repaired and working well-may need replacement soon.

·         05SEP-District Meeting here @ 1600 hrs.

·         11SEP Patriot Day Event w/the Johnston Duo

·         18SEP WWP Benefit w/Legion/SAL & ALA putting $100 toward the band, Kenny Holliday; tickets are $10; there will be food; snacks; door prizes; & raffles.

·         Kathy Church’s Benefit was very successful w/a donation to assist her for $1,571.

·         Kitchen Hood will need to be cleaned every 6-months.

·         No set menu for Breakfast

·         VFW got our Pizza Oven

·         Security System is almost ready-Steve will be purchasing flat screen

CHAPLAIN’S REPORT: Jim Ross’ mother passed away.

OLD BUSINESS: None

NEW BUSINESS:

·         Re-cycle plaques project & give to Special Olympics. Motion made by Dan Wortman; Seconded by Rod Garing; and, approved.

·         A discussion about Roseanna Gill, Insurance Agent & her $2K Accidental Death & Dismemberment Policiy(s) for Veteran’s. Steve Will has information.

·         Patty O’Callahan expressed her disappointment w/the ALA Officers not being in attendance for Kathy Church’s Benefit, mostly Legionnaires attended… Bravo!

·         Patty O’Callahan also expressed her extreme disappointment that Past CDR Clen Ward did not Honor a Post Legionnaire Award nor, the newly implemented Post Member and/or Family Award, nor any other awards at the Installation-which is our tradition.

·         Patty O’Callahan, offered for the second year in a row an extremely profitable event of TUES/TACO/TRIVIA, from 1830-2030 hrs, beginning 07SEP-for further discussion.

·         Chuck Kees working on the new board(s) for Officer Names.
