GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
NOVEMBER 4, 2010
Meeting called to order at 1902 hrs by Commander
Steve Willis.
Opening invocation by Chaplain Bob Nagel.
A quorum was present with 9 members present.
ADJUTANT REPORT: Clen Ward read the minutes of
the meeting held on October
7'h, 2010. There were no correction or
additions, motion to accept by Dan Wortmann,
seconded by Roy Havekost and the motion carried.
Minutes from the November 2°d, 2010 Executive
Board were read and approved without
additions or corrections. Motion to accept by
Stu Lilly, seconded by Dan Wortmann and
the motion passed.
Transfer to Post 233 of Heather Andrews was
considered, motion to accept made by Roy
Havekost and seconded by Stu Lilly and the
motions was approved.
New membership for Stephen Young was approved
after a motion by Patty O'Callahan,
seconded by Steve Sheffield to accept.
New membership for Don McNamara was approved
after a motion by Roy Havekost,
seconded by Stu Lilly to accept.
New Membership for Jerry Browne was approved
after a motion to accept was made by
Stu Lilly and seconded by Dan Wortmann.
New membership for Lawrence Schwartz was
approved after a motion to accept was
made by Dan Wortmann and seconded by Stu Lilly.
The adjutant reported membership at 231 paid up
members with 1983.09 in the
membership account. Motion to accept adjutants
report as read by Dan Wortmann,
seconded by Stu Lilly and the motion carried.
1st Vice Report: 1st Vice
Roy Havekost expressed his disappointment about
the lack of
volunteers to man the recruiting station that he
had arranged at the new Publix location at
Nocatee. The only volunteers, Rick Kapeghian and
Kathy Church were not enough to make it work, so
we have missed the opportunity. Full report
attached.
Motion to accept made by Stu Lilly, seconded by
Patty O'Callahan, and the motion carried.
2nd Vice Report: 2nd Vice
Stu Lily talked about the complete lack of
volunteers to help with our weekly dinners and
breakfast meals. Motion to accept by Dan Wortmann,
seconded by Patty O'Callahan and the motion
carried.

Commander's Report: Post
233 received a thank you note and a check for
$200.00
from Rick Westbury, rector at Christ Episcopal
Church for the use of our parking lot
when functions have been held at his home on
Wilderness Trail. Cdr. Willis filled us in on
the ongoing negotiations for the cell phone
tower placement at the rear of our
property. Dept of Florida Insurance Program
information is available on the shelf under the
bulletin board. The National Cemetery is still
needing donations for wreaths to be placed on
the graves at this new cemetery.
No new business.
