Clen Ward called the meeting to order at 19:02
A quorum
of 15 members and officers were present.
MINUTES-
The Adjuctant read the minutes of the January 7,
2010 Meeting. Roy Havekost motioned to accept,
Rick Kapeghian seconded and the minutes were
approved.
ADJUCTANTS REPORT — The Adjuctant reported 321
Member Cards had been processed to date at 79.6%
of our Annual Goal. The Compass Membership Fund
Bank Balance was $4035.46 on Feb. 1, 2010. A new
member, Tim Dejoris was read in and
approved
for membership. Rod Garing motioned to accept
the report, Wilbur Burnette seconded and the
Adjuctant's report was approved.
2"a VICE
REPORT- Chuck Kees reported cooks were once
again needed. Membership participation is really
needed! Chuck also discussed the Valentines
Party and reported that interest seemed sparse.
Steve Willis motioned to accept the report, Ray
Williams seconded and the 2 Vice Report was
approved.
3rd VICE
REPORT- Roy Havekost reported he mailed 2 Post
400 applications and 5
Stay
Actives in January. He also read a statement
regarding the transfer request of Bob Schroeter
and why the vote should be delayed until the
request information could be
posted on
our website. This would allow all members a fair
opportunity to attend for the purpose of this
matter. Rick Kapeghian motioned to accept the
report and Dan Wortmann
seconded
and the 3rd Vice Report was approved.
HOUSE
COMMITTEE REPORT- Steve Willis reported an
Oyster Roast planned for Feb 27th with Debbie
Johnston entertaining. Feb. 13th is the
Valentine Dinner and may
not have
enough reservations to proceed. The Jukebox will
soon be replaced and Clen Ward is working on
this with Coleman. The Pool Table netted $19 in
January, so the
Bartenders controlling the q-ball and collecting
is working. The Wagon Wheel Lights will be
auctioned off . Wilbur Burnette is working on
replacing them with trac lights.
Roy
Havekost motioned to accept the report, Rod
Garing seconded and the House Committee report
was approved.
FINANCE
REPORT — Clen Ward reported in Steve
Hutchinson's absence. The Savings Account
balance is $1004.51, CD Value of $7,112.00, Pull
Tab Balance $2,150.45 and
the check
book has a balance of $1,903.54. Dan Wortmann
motioned to accept the
report,
Steve Willis seconded and the Finance Report was
approved.
CHAPLAINS
REPORT — Chaplain Bob Nagel reported the Four
Chaplains Event scheduled next Sunday at 2PM at
Post #129.
NEW
BUSINESS- Commander Ward read Bob Schroeter's
letter of apology, for Patty O'Callahan and his
willingness to volunteer to cook again, to all
members in attendance
at this
meeting. Wilbur Burnette spoke that Bob should
participate and volunteer and he had no problem.
Rod Garing had mixed feelings, but felt Bob
desserted the Post. Ray
Williams
said Bob wasn't barred, but his transfer wasn't
approved. Roy Havekost stated that the Post
makes the decision per National. A motion was
made by Rod Garing that
we table
the discussion of Bob Shroeter's transfer to the
March Meeting and Wilbur Burnette seconded and
the motion was passed. -
